I started karting when I was 9 years old.
In 1999 I entered Formula 6 Cadet Novice Championship and won at my first attempt. The year after I entered the Formula 6 Cadet Championship, finished 3rd and won the Formula 6 Challenge Trophy. In 2001 I decided to move up to the Formula 6 Junior Championship. I finished 3rd but due to the dropped points rule in the championship, finished 4th.
In 2002 I moved into a much more competitive championship called Junior TKM. At my first attempt I finished 7th and in 2003 went better and finished 3rd. Some technical failures near the end of the season saw a halt to my championship challenge.
In 2004 I moved into the Enduro Series Endurance Championship. This was the beginning of my endurance racing and I started it off by winning the championship.
2005 saw me enter some more competitive endurance racing including the Buckmore Park Man of Steel and the Endurosprint Challenge and I won both Championships. During these I was invited to race in the 24 Heures du Mans. We won this by 17 laps and I secured pole position and fastest lap during the whole 24 hours. At end the year I was also invited to compete in an invitation only Star Pupil event at Buckmore Park. The judging panel awarded me 2nd and finished the year on a high.
